Commercial roofing installation in Eastern Iowa

Commercial Roofing

Commercial roofing that keeps your business protected

Flat roofs, low-slope systems, and commercial metal roofing for businesses and warehouses across Eastern Iowa. We work around your schedule — not the other way around.

Commercial roofing is a different job. We treat it that way.

Commercial roofing requires a different approach than residential work — different materials, larger crews, tighter coordination, and a real understanding of how to work around operating businesses. A leak in a warehouse or retail space means lost inventory, insurance claims, and disrupted operations. We don't let it get there.

We install and maintain commercial roofing systems for businesses, warehouses, retail buildings, and multi-unit properties across Eastern Iowa. Whether it's a TPO membrane on a flat roof, an EPDM system on a low-slope structure, or standing seam metal on a commercial build — we know the systems and we install them right.

Every commercial job comes with a detailed written proposal, a clear timeline, and a crew that shows up when they say they will. No surprises.

Membrane Systems

TPO and EPDM — the two systems we install most on Eastern Iowa commercial roofs

Most commercial flat and low-slope roofs in Iowa use single-ply membrane systems. The two most proven options are TPO and EPDM. Both are excellent — they're just built for different priorities. Here's what each one does.

TPO

TPO — Thermoplastic Polyolefin

TPO is a single-ply thermoplastic membrane — white or light-colored, with a highly reflective surface. It's the most popular commercial roofing membrane installed today, and for good reason. The seams are heat-welded, which creates a bond that's actually stronger than the membrane itself. No adhesives that can dry out or degrade over time.

For Iowa businesses, TPO's reflectivity is a real advantage — it can reflect up to 80% of solar energy, which lowers cooling costs significantly during hot Iowa summers. It's also resistant to UV radiation, ozone, and chemical exposure from HVAC equipment on the roof.

Heat-welded seams — stronger than adhesive systems
Reflects up to 80% of solar energy
Resistant to UV, ozone, and punctures
Works in Iowa's temperature extremes
15–25 year lifespan with proper maintenance
Energy Star rated options available

Best for: Warehouses, retail buildings, and commercial properties where energy efficiency and lower cooling costs are a priority.

EPDM

EPDM — Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer

EPDM is a synthetic rubber membrane that's been used on commercial roofs for over 50 years. If TPO is the modern standard, EPDM is the proven veteran. It's extremely flexible even in very cold temperatures — which makes it particularly well-suited for Iowa winters, where roofing materials expand and contract constantly with freeze-thaw cycles.

EPDM doesn't crack, split, or become brittle in cold weather. It handles hail impact well, resists UV degradation, and is one of the easiest commercial membranes to repair if a penetration ever occurs. Available in black (standard) and white (reflective) options.

Stays flexible in Iowa's harshest winters
Handles hail and impact better than most membranes
Industry-proven for 50+ years
Easy to repair — no special equipment needed
20–30+ year lifespan
Available in white reflective option

Best for: Buildings in exposed locations, properties with high foot traffic on the roof, or any owner who wants a battle-tested system with decades of performance data.
